Adding a second interface on a Ubiquiti Cloud Key Gen 2 Plus

AUGUST 2019 UPDATE – DO NOT DO THIS AS IT WILL BREAK LOCAL AND REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR PROTECT GUI.

To get Protect working with devices on an isolated VLAN a second interface needs to be added on the Cloud Key.

Configuration is via files under /etc/systemd/network/

eg. to create a static address of 192.168.100.148 on eth0, and add VLAN 202 with an address of 192.168.202.1

Add a VLAN stanza to /etc/systemd/network/eth0.network

[Match]
Name=eth0

[Network]
DNS=192.168.100.1
VLAN=eth0.202

[Address]
Address=192.168.100.148/24

[Route]
Gateway=192.168.100.1

/etc/systemd/network/eth0.202.netdev

[NetDev]
Name=eth0.202
Kind=vlan

[VLAN]
Id=202

/etc/systemd/network/eth0.202.network

[Match]
Name=eth0.202

[Network]
Description="VLAN 202"

[Address]
Address=192.168.202.2/24
