A place called Bisley

Bisley is a sleepy little village in Surrey that is home to the National Rifle Association, National Smallbore Rifle Association and National Clay Target ranges. People who live within 10 miles of the place don't know it exist. Many of those that do know about it fear it; "it's full of nutters with guns!". But for those of us that have been going there for years it holds a fondness as a unique place where everyone is friendly.

The Queen's Meeting was held a week or two ago and one of he BBC's reporters were there. His article can be found here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/5209632.stm

Bumped into the Welsh Commonwealth Games team

Dad called at 7:30 this morning to say that he was back and that him and most of Team Wales were at Reading Services. Jumped on the Rocket and managed to get there before they'd left. Was good to see Ceri and Dad. Also saw, and congratulated, Dave Phelps (Gold 50m Mens Prone, Bronze 50M Mens Pairs) and Kevin Evans (Silver Super Heavyweight).

Kevin's nose doesn't look quite so bad in real life!

Ceri's website

Been helping my sis with a blog over the last couple of days. Ceri's out in Melbourne at the moment, representing Wales in the Ladies Prone Rifle events at the Commonwealth Games.

Here's a link to the site:
