I spent two hours digging over a patch of my garden this evening. The plan is to have a flower bed down the left hand side. I wanted to get it done as I’ve got Green Thumb coming tomorrow to weed and feed the lawn. I didn’t particularly want to feed the grass that I subsequently want to get rid of.
Those two hours on top of two hours at the gym this afternoon are meaning that it’s 11:20pm and for the first time in as long as I can remember I actually feel sleepy!
Last weekend was the Hook Fun Run. As I’m not doing too much on the work front at the moment, I volunteered my services and joined the organising committee. I did a lot of the data entry, typing the entry form details into the specialist, DOS based, program that is used to collate the times. I spent Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday driving around, picking things up and dropping them off. We also had to get the Start/Finish gantry built out of scaffold and get the site/route ready.
I was amazed at the amount of organisation and planning that goes into something that lasts less than two hours, significantly less for the 2.5 mile fun runners.
Hopefully there should be between £3,500 and £4,000 in the kitty at the end. The plan is to give the money to the Elizabeth Hall rebuilding project.
Motorbike MOT and service tomorrow.
