What a game! I watched the Wales -v- New Zealand match on Saturday and I was very impressed. It was one of the most exciting games I’ve seen in a long time with every single player looking completely whacked when the ref blew the final whistle (early). The commitment of the Welsh players was amazing, each of them playing their hearts out.
The Welsh performance, coupled with Ireland’s sterling performance against South Africa, England’s performance against the mighty Canadians (or should that be South Africa?!) and Scotland’s spirited displays against the Australians should make for a very interesting 6 Nations. France’s loss to Argentina wasn’t as surprising as some people thought, the Pumas being a spot above Wales in the current IRB rankings. Look out New Zealand on Saturday!
England have the rough draw in next year’s 6 Nations. They’ve got both Wales and Ireland away which is going to be a deciding factor in their campaign.
So where next for Wales? England in the Millenium Stadium in Feb next year? Nope. We’ve got to make sure that we don’t stumble over the Japanese on Friday night. I’ve been following Welsh rugby for too long…
